Flight Training

Take the controls of your flight training journey with Central Florida Flight Club. Most of our aircraft are based in Merritt Island (KCOI) on Florida’s Space Coast, but we have no issue repositioning to a closer airport near you on a case-by-case basis.

Here at the club, we have an abundance of well-trained CFIs ready to meet your flight training needs. Our goal is to offer a more personal experience than anywhere else. Whether you’re just starting out with your PPL or looking to switch schools to finish your training, we’ve got you covered.

We can offer accelerated flight training similar to a Part 141 school and get you finished in the same timeframe—without the high cost. Or if you prefer a slower pace, that’s fine too. We tailor the flight training to your needs and goals!

Why train With Us?

High Quality Instructors – All of our CFI’s in the club have extensive teaching experience including gold seal CFI’s. All of the CFI’s are thoroughly vetted before being a part of the club. You as the student have your choice of CFI’s and can train with multiple CFI’s you are not stuck with one particular CFI if you don’t want to be.
Flexible Scheduling – Unlike most flight schools, we understand that everyone has a personal life outside of aviation. We conform to the students schedule for training in accordance to aircraft availability. We have multiple aircraft to train in so scheduling is hardly an issue.
Modern Training Aircraft – Train in safe, reliable airplanes, well maintained aircraft. All of our aircraft are IFR certified. We also have 3 soon to be 4 aircraft available for flight training. Aircraft availability isn’t a big issue at our club since we have multiple aircraft to choose from.
Personalized Approach – Whether your goal is a private pilot license, or a career in aviation. Unlike a 141 we offer a personalized training experience that is tailored to you.
Training at your own pace – If you’re looking to do accelerated flight training, we can offer that to any student looking to get their ratings as quickly as possible without having to go to a big three letter 141 school and without paying outrageous prices. If you’re looking to go at a slow pace that’s totally fine too. We work with anyone's goal.
Check Ride Wait Times – Unlike most places we can offer lower wait times compared to other schools or clubs for our students since we work closely with multiple DPE’s in Central Florida.
Funding – We offer hourly, block rates for the aircraft and can be flexible on payment methods and payment times for the CFIs. Our goal is to be as flexible as possible to suit your needs. If funding is what’s holding you back from starting, we are proudly partnered with STRATUS FINANCIACAL to offer students flight training loans.

Courses offered

Private Pilot: Single Engine Land – This will allow you to fly for fun, build pilot in command “PIC” hours, fly your friends and
family.
Instrument Rating – This will allow you fly into the clouds and build more experience
Commercial Single Engine Airplane (Initial or add-on) – This will allow you to be paid to fly and act as PIC
Certificated Flight Instructor Initial Airplane “CFI”– This will allow you to teach people to fly.
CFI-ii add-on – This will allow you to teach instrument students.
Flight Reviews – Serve as a check-up on your skills/knowledge for someone out of their 24 calendar month currency. Once signed off on the flight review this also counts as a sign off on our aircraft.
Instrument Proficiency Check “IPC” – Complete an IPC if you haven't met the instrument currency requirements, within the 6 preceding calendar months which include performing: Six instrument approaches, holding procedures, and Tasks for intercepting and tracking courses using electronic navigation systems. All of our aircraft are IFR certified so you can pick which plane you want to do your IPC in.
