Discovery Flights

Ever dreamed of becoming a pilot—or simply wondered what it feels like to sit at the controls of an aircraft? A Discovery Flight with Central Florida Flight Club is the perfect way to experience the excitement of aviation firsthand. From the moment you arrive at the airport, you’ll be welcomed by one of our certified flight instructors who will walk you through the basics of flight. After a short pre-flight briefing, you’ll climb into the cockpit, taxi to the runway, and feel the thrill as the plane lifts off—with you at the controls.

What to Expect

  • Ground – About 15-20 minutes, learning how to preflight the aircraft and what we will be doing during the flight.

  • Flight – Roughly 1 hour of flying, longer if you are up for it. You will be at the controls for as much as you're comfortable with and environmental conditions permitting. We will take you through some maneuvers, climbs, turns and descents. You'll also have the opportunity to grab some scenic photos of the Space Coast.

  • Post-Flight – We will sign your logbook, talk about the next steps in starting your flight training.
